John Axelson was supposed to go to school, get a job with a pension plan, marry, have babies, and die without imposing on others. So much for expectations: He did manage some community college, after a stint in the Navy, which led to him traveling the world for CBC, CBS, NBC, and BBC television news, as a freelance soundman. By the age of thirty-five he had been married and divorced, covered a dozen areas of conflict, been wounded, deported twice, and jailed in two other countries before meeting the principal character in this story. He still lives a mercurial existence, writing and teaching as opportunities arise, but without the tension. The final imposition is yet to be determined. He has published his first book
Stalking The Average Man and more is to follow.
